An eagle catching snake worked in emerald. At 9.4 inches and 2473 g it wants a shelf of its own rather than a desk corner.

A green beryl-family stone, carved rather than faceted, so it is judged on colour and body rather than on clarity. Inclusions are expected in carving-grade material and are what distinguish natural stone from glass.

The difficulty in an animal figure is mass rather than detail: getting the shoulder, haunch and neck to carry weight convincingly while staying within the block the carver started from.
